On November 23, 2009, City Council approved the new Economic Development Strategy for Cranbrook. The purpose of the Strategy is to define the direction and initiatives that will help strengthen and diversify our local economy.
The process for preparing the Strategy, developed under contract by West Coast CED Consulting Ltd., began in the summer of 2008. The draft Strategy was released for public review and comment on September 14, 2009. Following the public review period, which closed on October 5, 2009, final edits were made to the strategy prior to the completed strategy being presented to Council for final approval.
