The Arts

Cranbrook has a vibrant and diversified arts community, which encompasses visual, performance and indigenous arts.  Cranbrook has its own Arts Council  and Cranbrook's junior and secondary schools also promote the arts. The Key City Theatre is well known for showcasing local talent and bringing fantastic productions to Cranbrook.   Each year, Cranbrook mounts a visual arts show and April is Performing Arts Month in the City.

Culture & Heritage

Cranbrook is rich in both culture and historical heritage.  The Cranbrook History Centre affords a look at the City's rich history and our region's historical link to the railway. This internationally recognizied tourist attraction boasts historical trains, tours and, as its centre piece, the completely restored 1906 Royal Alexandra Hall.  The St. Eugene's Mission for instance, showcases Ktnuaxa heritage, while Fort Steele Heritage Town, a popular tourist stop, provides a glimpse into the first years of Cranbrook and area.
