Cranbrook, BC (May 21, 2025) – Our aquatic center at Western Financial Place is set to close starting on Sunday June 8, 2025 for three weeks for our annual maintenance shutdown. The wave and lane pools, hot tub, sauna, and steam room will all reopen for our patrons and user groups on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. 

To ensure our facility continues to operate safely and efficiently for all users, we have several important maintenance projects scheduled.  These updates will help keep everything running smoothly and improve your overall experience.

Pool and Hot Tub Area:

-    Draining and deep cleaning of all pools and the hot tub
-    Installation of new pool pumps
-    Tile repairs and cleaning on the pool deck and in the changerooms
-    Surge tanks will be drained, cleaned, and repaired
-    Deck drain cleaning

Facility Maintenance:

-    HVAC system maintenance and cleaning
-    Ductwork repair and cleaning in the changerooms
-    Window cleaning throughout the facility
-    Painting and touch-ups in various areas, including the lobby floor
-    Lighting upgrades, including new LED lights in the changerooms and squash courts

Other Updates:

-    Annual inspection, cleaning, and repairs of the aquatic center slide
-    Staff training sessions to maintain high service standards
