Cranbrook, BC (September 2, 2025) – The City of Cranbrook is inviting residents to share their thoughts on the effectiveness of the City’s water conservation public outreach program in 2025 through a short community survey.
This survey follows a similar one conducted earlier this spring, and will help the City better understand how the community sees and supports water conservation, while gathering ideas on how to strengthen future outreach efforts.
Your feedback is important in shaping how we continue to engage with the community on water conservation. Small habits really do have a big impact. The survey is open now until Friday, September 12, 2025. Residents can complete it online or pick up a paper copy at the reception desk at City Hall.
By taking part, residents will help guide future public education initiatives so everyone can continue making a difference — one small habit at a time.
Please remember that as of August 27, 2025 we moved to Stage 2 watering restrictions until further notice. You can only water two days a week—evens on Mondays and Thursdays, odds on Tuesdays and Fridays—between 5am–10am or 8pm–11pm, for up to two hours total. Veggie gardens are still good to go with a hose and shut-off nozzle, but no more washing down sidewalks, driveways, or building surfaces.
Our staff will also be scaling back watering in many parks and green spaces across the city, keeping irrigation focused on key areas like Rotary Park and Moir Park. Every drop counts, and by sticking to these restrictions, we can all help protect our water supply.
