Cranbrook, BC (UPDATED - October 18, 2024) – Important repairs to the structural support columns on the pool decks at Western Financial Place will begin on Monday, October 21, 2024, and are expected to take about three weeks to complete, ending on November 8, 2024. During this time, the pool will be closed to the public from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM daily – Monday to Friday.
Some scheduled aquafit classes, adult leisure swims, swim lane times, and swim lessons will be affected, and those participants have already been contacted by staff. Early morning and late afternoon or evening programs will continue as scheduled.
Originally planned for the annual maintenance shutdown in late June 2024, the work was postponed due to contractor hiring challenges.
