Our franchise has come a long way over the past six years since our inception, expanding into academy hockey, busing, and events. This agreement allows us to build on the momentum we’ve created, highlighted by reaching the conference finals this past season. We’re excited to keep delivering high-quality junior hockey and unforgettable entertainment for our community into the future,” says Nathan Lieuwen, President of the Cranbrook Bucks Hockey Club. “We’re especially thankful to City Council and City staff for their efforts throughout this process. Breanne and I remain committed to the long-term success of the Cranbrook Bucks and the positive economic and social impact we bring to Cranbrook.”

“The Bucks have truly provided an exciting brand of hockey with great entertainment value for the residents of Cranbrook and benefits Cranbrook’s businesses through the winter. On behalf of Council, I am so happy that we’ve been able to sign off on this new agreement which will allow Cranbrook Bucks hockey to continue to grow and thrive here,” says Mayor Wayne Price. “I am grateful to Nathan and his team, and to our City staff for their hard work in getting this new agreement in place.”
