Cranbrook, BC (July 8, 2024) – Cranbrook Fire & Emergency Services responded to a house fire in the 1900 block of Mount Nelson Crescent on Monday, July 8, 2024.
Firefighters received the call in the early afternoon and responded immediately. Upon arrival, a full page out to all staff was made to fight the fire, which had spread to an adjacent home.
“There are no reported injuries,” says Scott Driver, Director of Cranbrook Fire & Emergency Services. “We wish to thank the quick response of the Cranbrook RCMP, the BC Wildfire Service, BC Emergency Health Services (EHS), and Emergency Support Services through the Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK).”
Firefighters will remain at the scene to ensure the fire is fully extinguished and put out any remaining hot spots. Cranbrook Fire & Emergency Services is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
