Cranbook
Cranbrook, BC (March 9, 2023) – Members of Cranbrook Fire & Emergency Services responded to a residential garage fire in the afternoon of Wednesday, March 8, 2023.
Firefighters received the call at approximately 2:30pm and responded to the residence located on the 1200 block of 2nd Avenue South.
The homeowner was able to use a fire extinguisher to slow the growth of the fire in the garage, until fire crews arrived and were able to fully extinguish the fire and prevent further damage.
Emergency Support Services (ESS) provided the family with a night of safe, overnight lodging so firefighters could ensure the home was safe for the family to return to.
There were no injuries reported.
