Cranbrook, BC (April 30, 2025) – Work to upgrade water infrastructure to BC Housing’s new shelter project is set to happen starting on Monday, May 5, 2025 in three phases, which will impact local traffic on 2nd Street North and a portion of 16th Avenue North for the next few weeks.
- May 5 to May 9, 2025
2nd Street North will be closed to traffic between 17th Avenue North and 14th Avenue North
- May 12 to May 16, 2025
16th Avenue North will be closed to traffic between 2nd Street North and 4th Street North
- May 19 to May 21, 2025
2nd Street North will be closed to traffic between 16th Avenue North and 14th Avenue North
Residents who may be directly impacted by this work will be notified directly by the contractor undertaking this construction.
Signage and detours will be in place to direct local traffic through the various stages of the road work. Drivers and pedestrians are asked to follow all signage within this area and be mindful of any active construction work.
