Cranbrook, BC (October 13, 2026) – Victoria Avenue will be closed between 8th Street North and Kootenay Street from 7am to 7pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 while contractors repave the area following completion of water, sewer, and storm sewer connection tie-ins last week.
Victoria Avenue will go back to two lanes in each direction after the closure ends. Drivers should use an alternate route, allow extra travel time, and follow all posted signs and directions from traffic control personnel. Anyone travelling near the work area is reminded to please slow down and watch for roadside workers.
This is part of servicing for the new Colbrook Properties development at 2000 8th Street North, a planned five-story, 49-unit housing project for independent seniors.
The City appreciates the patience and understanding of drivers, residents, and businesses in the area while this work is completed.
