Cranbrook, BC (February 22, 2024) – Contractors, in partnership with Public Works will be removing some trees from both Idlewild Park and the embankment at Balment Park near the Street Angels building and the skate park on Friday, February 23, 2024.
Most of the trees being removed are dead and leaning out from the slope creating a potential public safety hazard.
Contractors expect to begin work early Friday morning at Idlewild to minimize any impact to those using the disc golf course.
Residents are asked to please follow and obey any barricades, signage or direction from City staff or contractors in these areas while the work is being completed.
