Cranbrook, BC (March 22, 2023) – Crews with Public Works in the City of Cranbrook are gearing up for their annual street cleanup operations, starting with the boulevards and sidewalks on Victoria Avenue and Highway 3.
Work is expected to begin in the coming days and take between 3 to 5 weeks to complete.
Signage, road cones and some temporary lane closures will be in place as this cleanup work moves along. We ask that you please slow down and move over to give roadside workers space to work and be safe.
As you know, Public Works puts a lot of effort each spring to remove much of the debris on City roads left behind from its winter maintenance efforts, through the annual street sweeping operations.
Over the next few weeks, our street sweeping team will be on the roads to start spring cleanup on our Priority 1 routes. As the street sweeping operations get going, we will provide up-to-date information about which areas we are working in, so residents in those areas can park off street wherever possible to ensure the best clean up.
