Spring Load Restrictions in The City of Cranbrook Rescinded Effective Immediately

Cranbrook, BC (May 9, 2023) – Load restrictions in the City of Cranbrook since March 20, 2023, to prevent and minimize road damage due to thawing winter frost have been rescinded effective immediately.

All streets within the City of Cranbrook, which were reduced to 70% Legal Axel Loading, have now returned to normal traffic usage.

This comes on the heels of the decision of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) to lift their regional load restriction notices on Monday, May 8, 2023.
