Cranbrook, BC (April 1, 2025) – City street sweeping is underway as spring operations gear up. Over the next number of weeks, the public will notice street sweepers around the community to remove gravel and other debris that accumulated over the winter months.
Crews are working on Van Horne Street and Cranbrook Street (Highway 3). Awaiting parts and supplies, an additional sweeper will come online in the coming weeks to begin assisting clean up in residential neighbourhoods.
We will provide additional details and up-to-date information regarding impacted street sweeping areas when crews begin to move around various areas of the City. While spring officially marks the start of the City’s street sweeping operations, crews will continue maintenance at regular intervals throughout the spring and summer. The public will also notice sweeping operations happening before major community events, depending on the amount of street debris.
