Cranbook
Cranbrook, BC (April 28, 2025) – The City of Cranbrook is not planning a homeless camp at Jimsmith Lake Park, as per a recent letter to the editor published on e-KNOW.ca on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
Jimsmith Lake Park is outside the boundary of the City of Cranbrook and is solely under the jurisdiction of the Province of BC, as are other nearby provincial parks such as Moyie Lake and Wasa Lake.
The City of Cranbrook is extremely disappointed that this type of blatant misinformation has been allowed to be published and shared online, which serves no purpose except to incite our residents and the public for absolutely no reason.
