Cranbrook, BC (June 25, 2024) – The 2024 paving program started last week with the outside lanes of Victoria Avenue and now BA Blacktop will wrap up work on Victoria Avenue by paving patches of the inside lanes of Victoria Avenue starting Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
Only the worst spots of the inside lanes of Victoria Avenue between 2nd Street North and Highway 3/Cranbrook Street will be paved, not the full length of the road. Drivers are reminded to watch for temporary traffic changes, slow down, obey all signage and directions from flaggers as the work is completed.
On Friday, June 28, 2024, crews will lay down a new patch of pavement in the northbound outside lane between 2nd Street North and 2nd Street South. The portion of road will be closed as of 6:00 a.m. on Friday for a few hours until the paving is complete.
The City of Cranbrook gratefully acknowledges the financial contributions of the Canada Community Building Fund (former Gas Tax Fund) toward these important infrastructure projects.
