Idlewild Park was originally developed as the Reservoir for the City of Cranbrook until 1975 at which time it was updated and redeveloped into a community park. Nestled in the Southeast corner of the City of Cranbrook and filled with towering pines Idlewild offers scenic walking trails that guide you through the entirety of the park. Idlewild Park is home to Memory Lane which is the predecessor program to the City of Cranbrook Trees for Life program. Bring the family down for an afternoon of activities, relaxing and outdoor fun. With plenty of open space, picnic areas, a children’s playground and zip lines, there is fun and activities for the entire family.
