Mayor Wayne Price
Wayne brings over 30 years of local and provincial government experience to the Mayor’s chair.
He was born and raised in Cranbrook and worked 19 years as a firefighter and Fire Chief for the City and 10 years as an Inspector and Regional Fire Commissioner for the Province of B.C.
In addition to extensive managerial experience, Wayne brings considerable expertise and knowledge of the City of Cranbrook operations and budget process. His career has been committed to public service and solution-based decision making. After retirement he served as a member of Council from 2018 to 2022.
Wayne understands role clarity and is optimistic that the current Council will make a positive impact in the economic, social and environmental well-being of Cranbrook’s future.
Committees: Director, Regional District of East Kootenay Board; Director, Kootenay East Regional Hospital District Board (KERHD).
