Cranbrook, BC (May 1, 2020) – BC Transit and the City of Cranbrook are informing customers of an upcoming seasonal service change in the Cranbrook Transit System on Saturday, May 2, 2020.
BC Transit works hard to match service with demand. The seasonal spring service change includes service reductions on routes 3 Third Avenue, 5 College, 7 7-11th Avenue and 14 14th Avenue.
This service change also take into account having sufficient service to allow for physical distancing while traveling on public transit in BC Transit communities due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation.
The response to COVID-19 is a fluid situation that businesses, governments, and people are adjusting to across the country and around the world. BC Transit will continue to monitor available resources and provide service updates on a day-to-day basis. We thank our customers for their patience, and apologize for the inconvenience.
Our team is here for you if you need to travel to get to work, including healthcare facilities or essential service industries, or to get your weekly groceries or a prescription. Please visit BCTransit.com/covid19 for details about our response to COVID-19 including the reduced passenger capacity, rear door boarding where available, vinyl panels to support physical distancing, not collecting fares, and enhanced cleaning on buses and at our facilities.
