Cranbrook, BC (April 28, 2020) – Cranbrook Transit continues to play an important role in transporting people around Cranbrook and will continue operations and be welcoming customers to ride the bus until further notice.
As such, the City of Cranbrook continues to make all rides on transit in Cranbrook free to customers – a service which has been extended to May 31, 2020. With all City offices and facilities remaining closed to the public, there remains no availability for the public to purchase daily or monthly transit passes. The free transit has been in place since April 1.
The City of Cranbrook, in partnership with BC Transit and our local operators will continue to monitor this situation closely and may yet need to reduce the number of bus routes and consider changing schedule times moving forward. We will continue to provide information to the public as the situation changes.
We are continuing to cap the number of riders per bus on Cranbrook Transit to ensure physical distancing for the safety of our passengers and drivers. Phone our operator if you have questions at 250-417-4636. Learn more. https://www.bctransit.com/cranbrook/news?nid=1529708678582.
