Cranbrook, BC (March 14, 2025) – Public Works crews will begin cleaning the outside lanes and boulevards along Highway 3 on Monday, March 17, 2025, before proceeding to clean Victoria Avenue.
Work will be active from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm along Highway 3 and along Victoria Avenue for the next several weeks. This daily cleaning will affect traffic, although crews will conclude major cleaning in the morning to limit impacts. The public may experience intermittent lane closures while cleaning and sweeping crews are on scene.
Cleaning will begin with the northeast lanes of Highway 3 at 6th Street N, near the Days Inn Hotel, before proceeding north towards 22nd Street N. When the northeast lanes are cleaned, crews will then circle back down the southwest lanes of Highway 3 heading towards 3rd Street S. Once Highway 3 has been cleaned and swept, staff will then begin cleaning Victoria Avenue. Cleaning will be active over the next 6-7 weeks, weather permitting.
Please be mindful of crews working to cleanup the boulevards and streets and to obey and all signage or flagging crews that may be on location.
