Cranbrook, BC (June 29, 2023) – Exploring how the City can improve inclusion, belonging, and accessibility through a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Framework (DEI) and Accessibility Plan is behind a public engagement questionnaire available now through July 15, 2023.
Residents can complete the questionnaire online @ www.cranbrook.ca/diversity or complete and return paper copies to the Cranbrook Public Library, Western Financial Place, or City Hall. The questionnaire will take approximately 10 to 15-minutes to complete and includes questions about individuals’ feelings of inclusion and belonging, what accessibility means to you, and what barriers may be faced in City-operated spaces, programs, and services.
All responses will help to inform actions the City can take to remove accessibility barriers and to better understand what the City is doing well, what needs to be improved, and how the City can enhance community services.
The DEI and Accessibility questionnaire, hosted by INclusion INcorporated and Meaningful Access Consulting, is confidential and no personal identifying information will be collected, stored, or published.
The City encourages residents to participate and share their individual lived experiences within the community.
