Cranbrook, BC (February 28, 2023) – Public Works will work to wrap up the water service leak in front of Dairy Queen on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, after being unable to complete the repairs Tuesday.
Public Works will be again closing public access on the west access road between Pita Wrapbit and the Travelodge, along with a portion of the right-hand, west bound lane of Cranbrook Street North. Drivers are reminded to please slow down and watch for signage and flaggers. You are asked to please access these businesses using Ridgeview Road.
Nearby businesses from the ABC Restaurant through to the Travelodge will have their water service turned off for 30 to 60 minutes as the repair is made and the water line is recharged. Once the water service is restored, nearby businesses may experience some discoloured water for a brief period. Please run your cold water until the water runs clear.
We apologize for any inconvenience this important work may cause nearby businesses or to the public wishing to access this area. We will make every effort to complete this work as quickly and safely as possible to minimize any disruptions.
