Cranbrook, BC (December 11, 2023) – A section of the alley which runs between 9th Avenue South and 10th Avenue South from Baker Street to 1st Street South will be inaccessible for several days, starting on Tuesday, December 12,, 2023.
Contractors working on the new Ktunaxa Health Centre, located in the former Mega Deal Furniture building on 9th Avenue South, will be installing some new storm water infrastructure at the back of the property. Equipment needed for the construction work will be taking up the alley space.
As a result, the alley will be closed to all through traffic. Vehicle access will remain open for those who park in the City lot at the corner of 9th Avenue South and 1st Street South behind St. Mary’s Parish.
Please watch for signage in that area. Drivers are asked to please avoid this area as much as possible to help reduce any traffic congestion.
