The City maintains nine (9) controlled intersections, with the use of traffic lights and one signalled pedestrian crossing.
The City does not maintain or have any jurisdiction on the five (5) traffic controlled lights on Highway 3. The Ministry of Highways is responsible for all maintenance on these lights. The Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) is responsible for maintenance and repair of all railway crossings located in the City.
If the public has any concerns regarding the City owned and maintained traffic lights, please call 311 or use our 311 app.
Fact: just because the light has alerted the pedestrian to cross the street, the pedestrian should not enter the intersection until it is safe to do so.
