Description:
Balment Park is located at the corners of 2nd Street North and 1st Ave south and was named after A.J. Balment in 1972 in honor of his outstanding service to the City of Cranbrook for 39 years as a city councillor. Balment Park is an adventure sportsman dream with a full size skate/bike park and a BMX trick park as the main design features. Located adjacent to Western Financial Place, Balment Park has a very large open green space with a baseball backstop providing space for a pick-up game of baseball for any groups wishing to pull a game together. Located near the center of Cranbrook and close to numerous community neighborhoods, this park is a great meeting place for young kids to perfect their skateboard and bike skills while hanging out with their friends.
