Description:
This 2000 Hectare area of crown land is designed as an interpretive forest and is managed for the community to enjoy a range of educational and recreational activities. The goal is to minimize environmental impacts and restore and enhance ecosystem function in this unique and sensitive area.

The forest is a complete separation from any residential or commercial areas at the edge of town. Lined with hundreds of kilometers of marked trails for hiking and biking, the Community Forest is a great destination to get back to nature in Cranbrooks backyard. With numerous small lakes located in the forest, the trails weave a picturesque path through the forest providing breathtaking views and an excellent escape for families, friends, pets and anyone wanting to get back to nature.
