The Corporate Communications Office is responsible for creating and maintaining positive community and media relations and public awareness for the City of Cranbrook and the programs and services it delivers.
The Corporate Communications Officer prepares and distributes information for the public through local media, the corporate website, and social media. The office also coordinates and manages community engagement opportunities, assists in management of emergency and crisis public messaging, oversees internal and external communications and branding strategy, and helps with advocacy and collaborative relationship building with relevant stakeholders, including partnering municipalities, organizations, and other levels of government.
The Corporate Communications Officer oversees these responsibilities, in partnership with the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Mayor & Council, and the various other departments within the organization.
