Past Meetings – 2024-2028 Five Year Financial Plan
- Tuesday, November 7, 2023 (12:30pm to 7pm)
In the opening meeting of the proposed five-year financial plan, each department presented to Council about work completed in 2023, their proposed work plans for 2024, challenges and highlighted some new asks. Council also discussed the proposed emergency repairs to the Memorial Arena.

On day two, several community agencies presented to Council including the Key City Theatre, Cranbrook Public Library, Cranbrook Tourism and the Cranbrook History Centre. Council also reviewed and discussed corporate operating expenses, non-tax revenue, transfers from other organizations, Grants to Organizations and fee-for-service contributions.

At this meeting, Council discussed Utility Funds, Debt/Borrowing, Reserves, Development Cost Charges (DCCs) and Surplus, while reviewing the Decision Package and the proposed Tax Levy.
