Cranbrook, BC (September 26, 2022) -- Talon Helicopters will be performing low level flying with LaSen Inc. for FortisBC between Sept. 27 and Nov. 1, 2022 during daylight hours, per Special Authorization issued by Transport Canada.
The work is FortisBC’s annual inspection of its high-pressure natural gas lines. The aim is to detect small issues so they can prevent larger problems and make sure its system continues to operate safely. This work was originally scheduled in July and August 2022, however due to poor weather and wildfire activity in the region, this project was postponed.
The flight time over a single area will be minimal. There will be no activity on the ground related to this flight.
