CRANBROOK, BC (October 10, 2014)

The following candidates submitted their nomination papers today.

Candidates for Mayor:  
Candidates for Councillor: Anna Hudson
Candidates for School District No. 5 Trustee:   
(Electoral Area 5 – City of Cranbrook and RDEK Area C)
 

There are now three nominated candidates for Mayor, sixteen for Councillor and six for School Trustee

Nominations are now closed.

Advance voting takes place at the Seniors Centre on November 5, 6 & 12. Mail voting information is available from the Chief Election Officer.
General voting day for the Local Government Election is at Laurie School, Saturday, November 15 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Voters will be asked to vote for one Mayor, up to six Councillors and up to five trustees.

In addition the City will be seeking electoral assent on whether or not to continue adding fluoride to the City’s Water system.
The question will ask:  "Are you in favour of Council adopting City of Cranbrook Cease Fluoridation Bylaw No. 3799, 2014, which authorizes stopping the addition of fluoride to the municipal water supply effective January 1, 2015?"
