Cranbrook, BC (November 4, 2022) – A major shutdown of the City’s watermain scheduled for overnight Tuesday November 8 into the morning of Wednesday, November 9, 2022 has been postponed due to the forecast drop in temperatures early next week.
The work was required to complete the disconnect of the watermain from the decommissioned pressure reducing valve (PRV) station, which is located at the entrance into the Wildstone Golf Course. This shutdown was expected to impact water customers in the Wildstone, Shadow Mountain and Industrial Park areas of the City.
Staff and the contractor will be meeting early next week to discuss possible new dates for this work to be completed.
We will widely advertise the new date for the work to occur as soon as it becomes available to allow those affected to make necessary preparations ahead of the shutdown.
We thank you for your patience and understanding.
