Cranbook
Hi folks, my name is Jeremy Youngward, & I’m running to be on your next Cranbrook City Council. And you can bet I’m Committed To Cranbrook. I came here 16 years ago, with my young family, to take advantage of a job opportunity. 16 years, and several other jobs later, I’m proud to consider Cranbrook my home town.
One of the many questions I’ve been asked during this campaign, and when I ran for council four years ago, is what I’m running for. The answer then, as it is now, is that I’m running for my kids. I want to make sure that I can leave them a Cranbrook they’ll also be proud to call their hometown. I want them to believe that Cranbrook is somewhere they can live for a long time.
Where they can find an affordable home that meets their needs.
Where they feel safe.
Where there’s activities & events for the whole family throughout the year.
Where they can find work they enjoy, or open their own business, where the city makes things easier, not harder.
Where they can find a doctor for their family, find childcare, & have greenspace to enjoy.
It’s a tall order, and one that will require big ideas and collaboration. And finding the balance between addressing the challenges of today and the future. It’s a conversation worth having, and one I look forward to, as a member of your next Cranbrook City Council.
